whoever buys a 17″ gaming laptop will definitely be using a mouse with it.Chassis RGB lights can be optionally turned off as well. Keyboard feels good for typing, yet again – extreme gaming, memory will run in single channel mode. This may impact gaming frame rates in certain titles. Overall I’m really happy with this laptop so far, I came across this beauty! Now, I’ve had a day to get used to the machine and set it up just the way I like it and without a shadow of doubt,I made sure the plug was in good etc and boom it ends up dead. Why Asus would only think that would suffice enough for a 2070 and all this laptop is packed with is beyond confusing. There is even an nVidia G-SYNC sticker on the lower-left corner of the screen.Gaming without my tower around is a bummer. This laptop doesn’t make me miss my big gaming tower.and good enough feedback in the keys to let you feel that you are typing. For web browsing/YouTube it could last a comfortable 2 – 3 hours.
I also own a Lenovo P72 and a Clevo-Sager 9750, and this machine SMOKES them on Geekbench4 .The screen looks great and has thin bezels due to Asus removing the webcam and packing it separately. I actually don’t mind it at all. It took about a day to get used to it and now I actually prefer it. I use a wireless mouse with the laptop, so I have no use for the track pad. I actually prefer this over the conventional keyboard now. It is super easy to get used to and works very well.I travel a significant amount for work, and whether I’m editing video or just playing games this laptop never lets me down.the battery life is somewhat poor even during normal work – but thats to be expected.Only real complaint is it comes with Macafee software preinstalled and it is almost impossible to uninstall. Otherwise so far really like it. I went for the Asus zephyrus GX531 as said before. It eventually failed after 3 weeks of use but Asus with their awesome customer service provided me with a full refund. I saw this product and had a feeling that this would be perfect, and it is so far. The keyboard has definitely taken some getting used to but it’s not bad. Haven’t tried anything with RTX just yet.
you can mess with the settings and manually turn the fan off, but then it starts getting real hot.he design is very appealing too, with a decent track pad. Speakers are good quality for a laptop. The draw back give physics and all is that it will get hot and loud when you do that, the heat has to go somewhere but it’s easily taken care of with a decent headset.you can hear a little electricity noise. And it doesn’t support thunderbolt 3.I try to check what SSD, is one that I have no idea, I was wondering changing to a let’s say Samsung Evo 970 Plus 1TB would greatly increase time and efficiency. It is capable of running the newest and most demanding games on max settings while in the perfect conditions. A cool area on a desk, not your lap, I do recommend purchasing a Ethernet adapter with this laptop! With that being said, for those who depend on wireless,in truth, I’m going to use a gaming keyboard and mouse if I’m going to play any video games on it because I’m more comfortable with it.I’m taking advantage of the two USB 3.1 ports for my gaming headphones and another for an Ethernet adapter. I have the laptop going to a larger 4K gaming monitor to test out the HDMI and so far no glitches on either port.
