I replaced Windows within Linux Mint. Now my computer runs super fast and boots in seconds. I did I not have to install any drivers as Linux recognized all of the hardware right away.Obviously, I sent it back. No more “refurbished” electronics for me. i’ve had friends who borrow it, who use pc’s who aren’t used to having to “press so hard” (as they put it) and have gotten a bit frustrated.Checking my email, playing on Facebook, website browsing and using it for my Silhouette cutting machine.I thought I was going to receive a product that looked like it has been refurbished but instead I received a product that doesn’t look refurbished at all.the screen got cracked, but Amazon took care of it. I shipped the broken one back the next day and received the exchange that same day. Everything came as advertised, looks and works as brand new. I’m still getting used to windows 10 but I’m getting more comfortable with it. So far I’m happy with my purchase. Great laptop for a great price! It does things I didn’t know it could do. It is teaching ME.
I love the long-lasting battery — no worries I had a touch screen previously but I did not purchase one the last time and I regret that I did not make certain that the laptop has that feature.The only issue was the drive – which was painfully slow and had to be replaced with a new SSD.it looks brand new. no scratch no spot. amaizing labtop. only battery time is little less.
but the keyboard has a bit of a cheap feel to it. If one is getting a cheap laptop, the amount of memory is important since Windows is a memory hog.This laptop might be best for someone who doesnt plan to take the laptop on the go with them often. I would definitely recommend this computer for students or those who are just looking for a basic computer for light use.About 2 minutes from power on to the main screen and then the internet is slow. I’ve used it twice. Will have someone troubleshoot to make sure it’s not user errorIt should have taken at most 5 minutes but it has taken over 30 minutes so far and is still not done. Acts like it has a virus it’s so slow. I love the volume and brightness control buttons along the top. And it was so cheap compared to the Best Buy price and of course other computers. I guess now I have become a HP customer.as a bonus it had about 3gigs of adult movies pre-uploaded and I didnt even have to pay extra. Thanks def would buy again!Of course the return date is passed and I will have to deal with Dell. This is a very flimsy computer, do not buy.
