Finally wanted to upgrade and saw this on sale, so I went for it and it was what I wanted in a laptop for what I do: Music, School, Youtube, Slaughtering Demons. If my desktop crashes and burns, it’s a great replacement for it. It absolutely destroys solitaire and minesweeper along with other office products like excel spread-sheeting and you’re in need for a couple of Pareto diagrams or 3 point beta distributions to resolve employee padding I don’t know if they’ll be helpful or not, but there there…Internet is not needed immediately. No problems connecting to Bluetooth or wifi. Works smoothly. Has an attractive screen with rich colors. I was able to play with full backlighting on a bright day (see above paragraph). High quality display, can be seen clearly from most angles. No complaints. I want one for myself, I don’t game but geez, it’s lightening fast, great quality build, aesthetically pleasing and an overall monster of a rig. updates and security, and activation, and lo and behold there was a error message, saying that Windows was in fact not activated.Will require elevated surface but have had no issue with laptop fans effectively cooling as long as it’s not on a flat surface which would block airflow.
So I was able to confirm my suspicions rom the hp pavilion gaming were correct, from the beginning, the i5 seems to be a cooler and more reliable processor due to heating.And the omen has more available adjustments. The most important thing you should consider when choosing your options is the processor.People read the specs before you buy and assume this will work perfect for you. I have had no problems with this computer and I am hooked I recommend to set the understandable “Link State Power Management” of the PCI Express set to off (access this option in Power option -> Change plan settings -> Change advanced power settings.I was used to a laptop before this that could last me nearly all day on a full charge unplugged while this one lasts only a couple of hours. Chief among them is that there seems to be a problem when it comes to internet connectivity. I finally found the screen I need and it’s $150 dollars. If you buy this I highly recommend getting the warranty and just send it in, probably a rule for laptops in general. A few different functions, but a very solid laptop.
it feels sturdy and has a nice texture. And unlike other gaming laptops I’ve owned in the past, I dont experience the same thermal issues. I’ve never had problems with any other brands. Ughhhhh who even writes the other fake reviews. The battery is pretty bad with only maybe 3 hours of nongaming use to offer but whenever your gaming your most likely to have it plugged in anyway. Painful to recieve a brand new computer .looking for a nice portable gaming laptop! Battery life is lacking but makes up for it with performance.
One person found this helpful It has a 1tb hard drive. But, I am very happy with this purchae. The battery life is short and the hardware/screen does seem a little flimsy, but it doesn’t bother me much. It also looks nice wth the design on the back and the red keyboard lighting.Spent over an hour with HP support and replaced firmware and drivers but still drops internet.
